Even with your minor mods, the LS6 intake will wake that puppy up. LS6>LS1

I had great gains at 4000+. Definatly worth the money.

There will be people who are going to chime in and say "go ahead and get the fast 90/90 so you don't have to get it later", but don't listen to them.

You can ALWAYS sell an LS6 intake for about as much as you paid for it as long as you buy it used. Check the for sale section, or post up in the "parts wanted" section. I would not pay more than $300-350 shipped for one.

Buying it new isn't worth it, buying it used IS. I gained 3mph. Went from 13.12@108 to 13.10@111 (2.0 vs. 2.2 sixty foot), so really its like a 3-tenths gain too.

It is worth buying new from SLP online. Its $399, you dont run the risk of getting a scratched up piece, it comes with the coolant line kit ($60) which you need anyways. If you bought a used one for $350 you would have to get that kit and now your up to $410 and you have a used intake.

I cut my LS1 coolant lines, and JB welded them. It worked perfect, and it didn't cost $60.

399 ain't to bad for a new unit at all

especially when your done with it, you can sell it for 300-350

I dynoed my car, and after we were done I changed the intake to the LS6 while it sat on the dyno. 30 or so minutes later we dynoed it again and it picked up 35 RWHP with no other changes.

Can anyone else chime in here? I'm debating on doing something similar and I want to make sure it's worth the money.
