Default would someone be so kind as to explain this install???

OR do the directions to the FLP install come with the headers. I cant call FLP because theyre closed on the weekend. I ask because this will be my first big install, other than yuh know, the lid, maf, wooptie doo. But my friend that was going to help me has a 4 foot lift, and some other tools that would have been useful, however he got hired and has to work 12 hours tomorrow! So im afraid if they come in the mail im going to want to install them immedietly! I REFUSE TO HAVE SOMEONE INSTALL THEM. I WANT TO LEARN. can some people agree with me. Hence would some "be so kind as to" say list everything i would need from the headers themselves obviously right down to those swivel screw things and bolts. And any other advice/directions would be helpful.
--on a side note, i have that met wrench set, basic hand tools, and i would be using ramps about an inch higher than rynos.

My macs were my first big install as well. I think that the higher you can get the car the more comfortable you will be under there. I would suggest havin a helper. A friend is always good to have around for a big job. I used this website as a reference to make sure I knew what was goin on. header install Just take your time and keep up with all your miscellaneous bolts and things that you take off during the install. The most frustrating thing for me was when we were almost done and we couldnt' find this one bolt. Put everything in baggies and label them and that will help you keep up with everything.

thanks for the advice and do you really have to take out the coil packs, let alone the valve covers?!

Yes, take off the coil packs. I also took off the valve cover on the drivers side.

RUALS1,

Be patient and wait till you can use your friends lift. Believe me, its well worth it. We installed my FLP's on a lift and that was great, next day I had to make a few tiny adjustments at home in the garage (no lift) and even that was a pain. I cant even imagine installing longtubes without a lift, yet alone if its my first major project.

Install from the bottom. If you have any fitment issues...try undoing the motor mount on the passanger side and jack the engine up just a bit so you can slide the header in. Put the motor mount back on. Do same thing with the drivers side. Makes installation a little easier. Its really not that hard

I agree do it on a lift if possible I have flp`s take off coil packs makes it easier to get to the exaust manfolds I only had to pull oil filter & drivers motor mount bolt out you might have to take altnator off bolt will not slide out gm puts it in *** backwards put it in the other way saves time if it has to come apart and have a buddy help one guy holds header from bottom the other starts the bolts from the top and don`t forget the gaskets flp will give you that stuff
