Default How to stop the banging??

Whats a good way to keep the y pipe from banging on the floorboard??? It bangs on the drivers side and sounds like *** Thanks

Put some poly motor mounts on there. It'll keep your motor from moving around so much and banging your exhaust on the floorboard.

Back when I had pacesetters I put a piece of radiator hose on the Y pipe and put a 3'' worm clamp around it. That solved all my problems.

But yes....poly engine mounts will do the trick if you have a little bit of clearance between the Y and the floorboard. I had no clearance at all, which is why I had to go this route.

just fixed mine today. Go to an exhaust shop, have the guy weld a rod in the center of the pipe and another to the frame. Then connect the two with aa rubber hanger, This way when the pipe is about to travel up, it is stopped by the rubber compressing together. This also leaves some play in the pipe so it won't torque the headers away from the block.

Yep, that's basically what the Mufflex hanger does.
