best bang for the buck = pacesetter ceramic coated
easiest to install, i'm told = QTP, but pacesetters are supposed to fit good too.
SLP long tubes are ones that can cause clearance problems

BTW: search is ur friend, dont be afraid to use it

i've installed a set of pacesetters and qtps and the pacesetters was the easiest by far.get coated pacesetters for the best bang and reuse your stock gaskets.

With the price (and quality) of the QTP HVMC's I don't know why there is even this question anymore.
Although im of the (buy it once and forget it) mentality.

Only thing I removed to install my Kooks was the dipstick to get to a manifold bolt. Slid right in perfectly.

Well he asked for the biggest bang for the BUCK, and QTP's are NOT cheap. QTP's are an excellent header, but you can't beat the pacesetters as far as bang for the buck is concerned. They are a quality header that will dyno similar to any other header, and they are dirt cheap!

I was reading about the install of the pacesetter's, doesn't seem to hard. I was wonering though where it talked about triming the K-memeber? Is that necessary, and if it why, and is it hard to do?

the flowtechs only have a 1/4 inch thick flange where the pacesetters has a 3/8 thick one.the flowtechs are more prone to leaking.

pacesetters from TSP. CHEAP even Ceramic coated. What are they like $370 something? I think i could install them again in about 4.5 hours by myselfif i was being timed. The only issue i ran into was the little tab on the DS of the block. About 3 seconds of sawsall and the headers were in place, and i have a neat little piece of LS1 in my pocket.

The tab on the block was the only thing in the way to an easy install. Coated Pacesetters get my vote.

Yeah and from what i understand not everone has to deal with it, right? If you're uncomfortable filing it off then you could just jack that side of the motor up. In my case it was easy enough just to cut it the heck off. Its not hard to get to at all, my big ol sawsall had lots of room.

pacesetters are a good deal. People will complain about rust all day long but you have to pay extra $$ for that stainless steel
