strange problem

I have a 1998 Trans Am and today I put on a ported throttle body I bought from another board member. I believe it was from a 2000 camaro. I was told Bo White is who ported it. Anyway, when I put it on and started the car up it ran and idled but when you reved it up it wouldn't come back down it would just stick. I got out and checked it all out and the throttle control thing (technical name) behind the battery was keeping tension on the t/b. As soon as I put the stock one back on it worked fine. Just wondering if anybody had any ideas?

I, as well as a few others have had this problem. In my case, after a couple hundred miles of driving the problem went away. Someone may be able to explain exactly what is causing it but i know it went away after awhile for me. Good luck!

sounds like you have to adjust the tension on the tb cable - just follow the cable to the lipstick tube looking thing that has a connector on it...if you pull up on the tabs on the side of the connector, you can then push/pull the tb cable in/out of it...when you get the tb to close completely and have some tension on the cable, push down on the connector and it will hold the tension
