(POLL) how much oil pressure do you have at idle? I see this question asked a lot and just figured I'd take a poll and see where most guys oil pressure is at an idle w/the car warmed fully up. I also notice that it seems A4's have slightly lower oil pressure probably due to the fact that they idle a little bit lower than a M6.

Re: (POLL) how much oil pressure do you have at idle? I have about 43 or so, but then again my idle was raisd to 850 and I have an ARE ported pump. My stock pump would only hold about 30 when the car was idling at 550, then 35 at 850 idle, so I gained about 8psi over stock with the ARE pump. The pressure also comes up quicker with the ARE, and I’ve got about 15 more psi at WOT then stock...

Re: (POLL) how much oil pressure do you have at idle? BTW, my '99 A4 w/44,000+ miles sits at about 40#'s when fully warmed up at an idle (550 rpm's)in park. it will hit 70+ psi at WOT on cool days and about 65 psi on hot days.

is also a little over 40PSI warmed up, 70 cold
idle. So I guess you don't see too much journal
or pump wear on these motors, if a '99 is still
that tight.
70PSI is probably the relief blow-off pressure.

Re: (POLL) how much oil pressure do you have at idle? I'm usually a little over 40 at idle when first hits operating temp. If its been running for a while and the needle is on 210 or slightly higher, drops to a little under 40. This is with Mobil 1, if it matters.

Re: (POLL) how much oil pressure do you have at idle? Mine sits right around 40psi with the motor around 180*. When things heat up to around 200* on the hotter days it drops to 35psi or so.
That is with Mobil 1 5 W 30...Im thinking of switching to 10 W 30 next time to see if I get more pressure.
