Default 105mm Throttle Body

Out with the old (thread), in with the new. Came out pretty good. 50mm a piece. All ball bearing and double sealed shafts. 100% custom made except for the screws. Always wondered what I would do with those sheets of brass I have had sitting around for years. Still gotta' make the levers and linkage. Still have to make the top air box. Im thinking carbon fiber that sort of looks like a narrow, low profile drag boat scoop with a 4" round opening. Will sit on top custom manifold and be fed by twin 60-1's. Think it will look pretty cool.

Looks sweet! Would it have been easier to turn the blades 90* a use one long shaft?

Thought about that but I think it will feed each bank more evenly this way. Also this is 16" long and there would be no way to machine for bearing races between the barrels. Plus the linkage will add a lot of detail.

Just wondering if you have any more recent pics of your progress. I went and dug through alot of your previous posts and I'm simply amazed at your attention to detail and quality of work.

How about some new pics of everything posted for the rest of us to drool over.

I totally appreciate all the compliments from everybody. I work hard on this stuff. I will sometimes post stuff when I start to lose focus and could use a little recognition. I am honored though that Wheel to Wheel even noticed because they are so far ahead of the game. Thank you. Got all the linkage done. It was a pain to drill/ tap and polish all the parts. Came out OK. Gotta get going on the manifold. It just seem like a huge project that I have been dragging my feet on it.





Got the Turbo's finished also. All parts are new. They are Turbonetics T4 P-trim .68 turbines that I ground and smoothed and put a high temp ceramic on them. The compressors are Garrett 60-1 w/60 trim that I smoothed and polished also. I did not want to pay the ransom for billet backplates so I CNC'ed the ones pictured. There is really a lot going on in the backplates as far as machining goes. They were a lot more complex than I thought they would be.

Thanks. No one has brought it up but........ these are NOT 200mm. Stupid oversight on my part and I apologize for the misleading title. They are 50.5mm each but yield a total area of just under 105mm taking the shafts into account.
