From what I've been reading (I used the search function) porting the maf is gonna get you nothing for the stock one is good for 500hp.
Porting the tb won't get you much but your throttle response will increase.

What about popping the screen out? Just that and port the TB? May port the TB tomorrow. I JUST did the airbox mod and EGR mod with my Whisper lid and K&N install. To bad the weather sucks and all I can do is crank it up inside the shop,

The screen is a pressure drop equal to that of the stock lid,
by my measurements, therefore holding the same modest
gain. However the screen I expect is also much more non-
linear of a drop, with higher air velocities than those I had
to use. My screen is gone, off a big MAF, and no, it wasn't
necessary or gave any measureable improvement. But it's
done and fine.

when you get headers or something that merits an a/f tune, have the tuner delete the maf entirely. for now leave your screen in as those little wires are VERY sensitive.
