Compression check question

Compression check question Ok... I'm going to do a compression check on my car tomorrow (want to make sure every things ok... ). So
1. Pull all spark plugs
2. Pull fuel pump fuse
3. attach compression gauge
4. crank engine over a few times
what should the ideal compression be on each cylinder?
Should they all the the same?

Re: Compression check question I can't tell you what the ideal should be (I imagine that would vary some from car to car) but I can say that SlowLS1 did a compression check on his LS1 with GM LS1 Hotcam and all cylinders were between 170 - 175 psi.
