how do you install an A/F gauge? do it yourself?
The harness enables you to hook up your Rich/Lean gage without cutting any wires. It installs between the factory wiring and the front oxygen sensor. It's really easy. The harness uses OEM connectors and automotive spec wiring.

Also, so they have digital gauges instead of analog gauges? I'd feel better with the actual AFR numbers.
<strong>Am I understanding this correctly? You're tapping into the stock O2's to derivate the AFR? I thought one needed a different sensor in the exhaust stream for that...???

They do have digital gauges that will tell you exact numbers. I can't remember who makes them though. I didn't want a digital gauge b/c all I care about is that the guages are in or close to the green when I'm using nitrous. It's easier to compare colors than numbers.

At part the computer constantly reads then adjusts the A/F. Something like 30x a second. That?s why at part throttle it will jump around a bit.
At WOT it doesn?t adjust the A/F. Everything is kinda preset for maximum power.
not a tuning aid, but ballpark.

Has anyone used one of these?
I have been thinking about getting one of the square, red backlight ones to put either behind the sun visor or mounted next to my ASR switch in my Hawk. It would be nice being able to adjust MAFT settings and know exactly where you are at for only $70 or so. It looks like it would give at least the air/fuel ratio readings just as well as Autotap would. Where does everyone think that the CPU gets it's information from? The same o2 sensors that you tap into for a meter.
