For those of yall with headers and no cats, does it smell that bad? Because im wanting to get headers and ORY, but dont want my exhaust smell to be that bad to where it gets annoying.

Are you speaking from experience or just assuming it will?

I have an 00 z28. All I have is a custom high flow y-pipe in the rear that was made to resemble an slp loudmouth. what would it sound like If I took my cats off also or gutted them out?

i've never had a problem with smell. they only way i notice is that the exhaust "steams" out the tailpipes a lot longer on cold days because the heat of catalyzation is not there anymore.

I've seen one carrying a full grown squirrel by the throat like a lion.

I like the squirrels and I still like cats. I have one in the house, two on my 2001 and one on my 95. The SLP loudmouth on my 01 sounds very nice but I bet it wouldn't with !cats. I'm putting an electric cutout on my 95 with a Hooker catback and figure the cat will keep it from going overboard with the noise when I dump the exhaust before the axle. We have visual inspection here and I need those cats to at least LOOK like they are working.

my cat ***** all over the place too, but i haven't seen him mangle a squirrel. thats some funny ****.

I don't believe that cars with no cats are a major contribution to polution considering as said above they have had them for 30 years and it doesn't seem to be helping. With that being said, if a catted pipe wasn't TRIPLE the price of a standard pipe, I'd get one.

Cats or No cats, polution or no polution if u r like me and live in the state of NJ...No cats is a $5,000 fine for each one missing. So mine are still on haha...if I was extremely wealthy I probably wouldn't have them on.
