Oh crap, I hear the garbage truck comming and I haven't gotten the trash out! Oh wait, that's just an LS1 with LT's and no CATS.

Try the ol' bernouli's equation ...yeppy right! hehe, no but really those damn cats block the air exiting the system. Its only common sense that there is more free flowing air running through the gutted cats. I took them off mine and installed a race ready's muffler bypass and i get sick top end, and smoked my friend with long tubes...but maybe i have a ringer, or maybe not, but still. When it comes down to getting your emissions done, somebody knows somebody that hook you up

From what I know, a gutted system will be louder. But wont sound as nice, kind of uncontrolled tone to it. I prefer the catted pipes, but if you want all power ( about 5ish rwhp) then go for it.

To the people preeching about emissions:
Why are you concerned about emissions yet you have a big ol' LS1 (or similar) engine?
Seems hipocrtitical to me...
People who are concerned about our enviroment drive 4-bangers and hybrids....
Just my 2-cents...
Edit... oh yah... I voted no cats

No Cats.
My car is exempt anyway, but even without cats, my engine is at least twice as clean running as the original one, and way faster! LOL
