I had cats on my TUNED car but they all kept ending up rattling inside. So, I gave up on them and don't have any anymore.

Ya, these aftermarket cats flow nice but they are sure no comparison to stock cats when it comes to quality and longevity. Mine all started rattling slightly around 1500 - 1700 rpm's and then it just got worse and worse. Finally, it was sounding so bad that I just quit driving the car.

My stock cats rattle too, but that's only after I gutted them with a plumbers snake chucked up in my hammer drill. Didn't get all of the ceramic out and when it breaks off later on it bangs around inside the exhaust system. Better to just run a OR Y pipe with long tubes and be done with it. You can delete the rear O2 sensor signal or use 02 Simms

I have cats right now but they'll be out of there in a few weeks. I'm getting ready to buy MAC Middies with ORY.

I'm not running cats now, but thinking about putting them back on. Magnaflow is supposed to come out with some high flow cats that are very reasonable in price--->

I personally think it sounds (and smells) better with them on, but thats just me

Like many said I would have no problems and would actually rather run cats if for nothing else than not having to worry about being illegal. I know all LTs are illegal but I have a feeling you are more likely to get off if you still at least have cats. However being cheap over rules being legal and being environmentally friendly in my book. Anyways I kind of see it as getting back at Mother Nature for that time she rained on my car 10 minuets after I washed it. That’s right! Take that you bitch!

I have SLP Catz on my car. They are the perfect set to gut-out and still have the "legal look " for inspection .

Currently running the stock cats, but they will be gone when I eventually go with LTs. Prior to 1975, cars didn't have cats. I get nostalgic every time I get a whiff of unburned hydrocarbons.

What makes you really sick is when you go to the dragstrip and see cars in say Comp Eliminator required to run mufflers by the NHRA which they didn't have to do until just the last few years. We're talking strictly cars that runs the 1/4th miles and never see the street. Of course, Fuel and Alcohol still run open headers since that's the bread and butter for the NHRA. Hell, who likes bracket racing anyway? I hate throttle stops. I wish they were banned.
