Belt Tensioner cause Knock Retard?

Belt Tensioner cause Knock Retard? I've had around 9 degrees of knock when I've been A-Tapping and noticed that my belt tends to slip nearly off all the time after each run. I never get knock unless I'm at WOT. The tensioner is comming apart and is wobbling. Could that cause some of the knock you think possibly? <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />

Re: Belt Tensioner cause Knock Retard? katech sells a tensioner that they use on their c5r vette. they say that they had to use it cause of the harmonics they encountered which led the belt to vibrate off at around 4k rpm.

Re: Belt Tensioner cause Knock Retard? There is a GM tech service bulletin conerning the belt squeaking - this may also cause your problem. Will provide info if interested. I think I'm going to do mine.

Re: Belt Tensioner cause Knock Retard? Has anyone verified that this is the cause? I have problems with my belt coming off on WOT runs too. Now it's squealing, but I'm pretty sure it's the idler pully ( spraying WD-40 shuts it up for about a minute on that pully ). Plus I seem to get knock even if I run 100 octane.
