Default Pacesetters or Edelbrock headers?

I have been doing some research on headers since i plan on getting some soon. I found that people really like the Pacesetters but i found a set of edelbrock victor race series headers for my 01 z28 and now i am leaning towards those more. I just want to know which headers are better and which coating is better.

I have just installed the new Edelbrock ls1 heads and the Edelbrock Race headers and i am VERY happy with the results and the fit and finish, we can get the Edelbrock headers for you if you cant find them, just call Sean at the shop and he can take care of ya

HossZ28, I asked the same question last month. Here is a link to that thread. It has some good information in it.

I have the Edelbrock's on my car too. I love them. I had Pacesetters on my 94 and I don't like them near as much as I do the Edelbrocks. Summit has them and thats were I got mine for $400

I would advise against the Ti Tech, my buddy bought some for his '94 Z, and they started to rust in less than 6 months. Bad rust, too. Bad enough that edelbrock sent him a set of ceramic coated headers in exchange for his old ones. BTW, this was a fair-weather only car, no rainy day driving...

i heard that the issue with the headers rusting was only on the slip on collector one because they are Ti-Tech coated right over the black paint...

Bad comparison.....The pacesetters you had on your 94 are NOTHING like the current LS1 headers!

Kinda curious what do you prefer on the Edlebrocks over the Pacesetters. Or conversly what did you not like about the Pacesetters?

I have only seen the Edelbrocks with the slip on collectors. Where can you find the fully welded version?

Is it true that the E-brocks with the slip on merge collectors had the ti-tech coating sprayed ontop of the paint, causing them to rust out faster?

The flange on the Pacesetter were poorly weldes and the y-pipe didn't fit correctly...and I called Edelbrock Monday about my headers b/c they are rusting too and the warranty manager told me that the first set Ti-Tech that they produced weren't done correctly and will send me a new set. He told me that on the first set that they didn't use the right adhesive for the coating.

I've had the edlebrocks for about two months now. The fully welded ones with egr/air are part# 65653. I got them from Outlaw motorsports one of our sponsors. I called them up and less than two weeks they had arrived.

Have you noticed any rust from the two months youve had them?

www.byunspeed.com

look around, there are plenty of sponsors that have both of these headers.
