Default How much will the Hooker hurt me?

Catchy title I know. Anyone w/ the 3" hooker catback making 400+ hp to the wheels cam only? Id like to keep this catback after going cam only (torquer 2 or 228R) and would like to think I wouldnt be giving up too much hp over a 3.5" catback or duals. I plan on doing HVMC's and an ORY upstream if this helps.

Engineermike ran this catback on a supercharged 383 and picked up less than 5 hp when he unhooked it. This wasn't on a N/A LS1, but it shows how well it flows. Power was around 550 RWHP.

the hooker cb is nice if you dont want something obxnious. its quiet on the highway, but sounds mean when you get on it, plus it flows well. Doesnt attract cops on my car!

I've got the stock SLP DD on my Firehawk and I've seen tests upwards of 600 hp using the same SLP cat-back. Your Hooker has more than enough flow for the cam.

One of my friends lost 15 hp through the Hooker compared to cutout. I will let him chime in if he wants.

I just had a Hooker muffler welded into my CME last week and it's very sweet sounding. Nice and mellow but roars at WOT. I can't tell any SOTP power differences between my 3" QTEC and the Hooker. The QTEC was worth 4rwhp @ 5rwtq over my previous Corsa muffler.

She'll hurt a lot if she's dirty!

J/k. I think your catback should be just fine. If you're worried about it, get a cutout.

I’m Confused .
I guess nobody can tell how much Hp you would loss, because it really depends on your car. Different cars react in different ways.

I've seen alot of these posts and most reports have been in the 3-5 hp range for the hooker. 15 is the highest I've seen yet.

the a/f could have been off some to lose 15 hp with the hooker.it is very free flowing and sounds great to me and for the money is very hard to beat.with cam only it shouldn't be restrictive at all-maybe 3-5 hp over a cutout.

If its a cheap hooker, then you gotta wonder how many miles shes got on her and possible diseases. The good thing is that a hooker is cheaper than a girlfriend and you get instant results that you want. Love is for losers anyways.
