Horsepower engineering big box of goodies?
I have a cerain budget to spend and was looking at the horepower engineering big box of goodies. They have a package that includes:
1) fast 90 intake
2) tpis 90 throttle body
3) tb-maf hose coupler
4) kooks stainless steel 13/4" or 17/8" headers
5) y pipe
6) Cam kit ( cam,springs, retainers,and pushrods)
7) ASP underdrive pulley
8) NGK - tr55 plugs
9) MSD 8.5mm wires
for $3,350. Tha\ey said it gives you 475h.p.Do you think it will give you 475? Also they have their heads for an extra 1000 that gives over 500hp? Is this package worth it?

you must of read wrong... its taylor plug wires, and the hp they say it gies is "415-450 rwhp"
and a fast tb unless you are getting this information elsewhere... their site is "under construction" for the f-body so under corvette they have the big box

Thats alot of money for parts you can probably pick up for half that in the parts for sale section.
I wanted headers forever, only problem was they are $1300 new. Waited a while and got them for $350 barely used.
If your budget allows it, go for it!

well its in gm high tech performance that it says 475 for the package without the heads, and ttperformance has a h/c/ combo that gives you 505rwhp, and thats just heads and a cam and nothing else. would you suggest getting that and not the HPE kit.

The 475hp number is feaseable for crank power. 475 x .85 = 403rwhp. 450rwhp would even be very hard to hit cam-only. You would have to have the best tune and a huge cam, and preferably be in a z06 (ls6 heads).
You have a nice base of mods already, I'd say keep the pacesetters, put a cam in it and go from there.

The 475 is flywheel... And it's a very normal number to see with that package. That package includes the best of everything... Call me this week if you have any questions. 281-448-1300.
