Who runs Dynatechs on the street???? Whats up fellas my qeustion is who is running dynatech 1 3/4 headers for street use. I really want a set of the headers because of the way they look and it seems to really clean up the motor with no egr& a.i.r tubes, not to mention the performance gains. as you can tell im not worried about emissions <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> . What experiences have you had with these headers on the street? Good/Bad?
The set up im lookin for is the Dyna tech 1 3/4's, have a off road Y built, and a hooker catback. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Re: Who runs Dynatechs on the street???? I am running them on the street. I sealed the collectors with ultra copper, and have not had any o2 problems. I have dealt with many problems like this, so its not a fix that I did hoping that it worked.
My setup is forsale if you are interested. Its not cheap. x-pipe, TIG welded mandrel bent 3" tubing, Stainless merge collectors, and a stainless Y for putting it into the borla for the quietness, and I run open X at the track.

Re: Who runs Dynatechs on the street???? I run mine on the street every day-daily driver.Absolutely no leaks what so ever. No rtv no nothing just a real tight fit merge collector. give me an e-mail for any questions.

i love these headers. nice and clean engine compartment without the A.I.R. tubes all over the place, and extremly easy to put in. one bit of advise would be to hand tighten the headers in first, then look where they hit the body underneath. then take the headers back off and start beating away with a hammer. they sit real close to the body. also make sure you can remove the oil drain bolt. i had to cut about 1/2" off mine to get it out. you will also have to remove the oil filter to get them in.
