Default Porting TB

I'm going to port and polish my throttle body with a Dremel and was wondering, what’s the best thing to use to cut, sand, and polish with? Also, approximately what RPM's should the above be preformed at? Any help is appreciated!

There are some great write-ups out there on how to do it. Search for TB Porting and see what you come up with.

I didn’t ask HOW to do it but asked WHAT people were using. I agree there are some great write-ups out there but none of them really go into depth about what they used.

if youre using a dremel, get a high speed steel 1/4 cutter, cylinder shaped. hog out the material with that. Then get some 60 or 80 grit sanding drums, followed by 150 grit. Then polish using the scotchbrite pads. You can find all that stuff at your local home depot or lowes.

I used a air compreser tool. You know the ones just like a dremel. And used a ball tip to port and grind down. and sand paper sand paper and more sand paper to smooth down the finish. I didnt notice a differenct at all but hell maybe the dyno would prove that wrong im not sure.

Thank you!!! I have done this mod and all Ive ever had to do it with was a Dremil. None of the how-tos, cover what to use with a Dremil. Thanks. Maybe with the right bits it wont take 3hrs!
