Default True Dual Clearance

I went to the body shop today to see what they would say about a full length, true dual, x pipe exhaust set up on my 99 t/a. He told me that it would be damn near impossible because of ground clearance and space underneath the car. Ive read on here that a lot of people have that set up. Do yall have clearance issues or had space problems installing the x pipe?

Do some searching around this section, as well as ls1sounds.com. There's tons of pics of people's duals setups. Take some of those pictures into those idiots(if you still want them working on your car) and show them not only that it's possible, but not that hard if you use half a brain........

I had my tsp 3" true duals at my house and I knew before I put them on I'd have to get them adjusted, so I took it by a place I knew that did good work for cheap just to see if they would put them on for a fair price to save me the trouble of tweaking them around a lot. They said there was "absolutely no way they would fit"

I did it in my driveway and don't even have them tucked up that high because I have my driveshaft loop still up there and the x-pipe is just underneath it. I still have a few inches that I could tuck it up higher, but since I don't really scrape, I'm not in any rush to get to it.

You can see my drivers side hangs a little low because of my SLP SFC get in the way, and I still don't scrape.

If they are like the shops I dealt with that would refuse to do it because it "won't fit," print this thread and show them that John B from Florida said to eat ***** and get a new profession.

Link to pics in my sig.

I had the TSP duals on and fine, then I found a picture of a guy's system who had them ran out the back. I printed out a bunch of pictures of it, brought them up to the exhuast shop and said "build it just like this".

Mine came out better than the pictures!

See, I'm the kind of guy who would, after I put the exhaust on, would go right back to the shop and say hey...you sure you can't look again for me? I have a different exhaust to go on....*gets on lift* oh, no way they'd fit eh?

I've got true duals and about 4 inches of clearance. Better than people with catted y-pipes as far as I know.
