Its metal. Depending on how thick its made if it only barely outflows/performs the LS1 intake then it can be ported/polished and would probably outperform the LS6 very easily and be in the Fast range.
I still think the Fast are way way overpriced even for the porting ability.

If this thing performs near an LS6 (hopefully much better, near a Fast setup), I'd buy it just for the fact it doesn't require any extra modification...oh and the shininess of the polished one
