Default Bassani Longtube Headers???

Looking at a pic of the Bassani headers, they look more like mid lengths (this is on Yearone.com).....are Bassanis mid or longtube?

Thunder Racing calls them mid lengths.

Ok....thanks guys....I really thought they were mid length but felt like getting a second opinion.

Anyone have experience with these? good/bad?

I absolutely love my Bassani mids, they look awesome (top quality on the welds) and sound mean as hell through my Corsa. I got a great price on them brand new from someone on here, their $$$ if bought brand new though. My car is lowered and clearance is perfect, my BMR subframes hang lower than the mids and y-pipe.

If your car's not lowered go with coated hookers or grots, ppl swear by them.

Good luck on your choice

errr.....see...that is a problem....my car is lowered.....REALLY lowered.......I have SLP subframes so as long as the Longtube headers/y-pipe are not any lower than the factory system I will go that route. If I can't do Hooker LTs....I'll either do Macs or Bassanis......

are there any other good mid lengths?

Copied the prices from Thunder Racing:

48-F57010 Bassani Headers, 2000-2002 LS1 F-body, Chrome Plated (Y-Pipe sold separately)
$554.95

48-F57010-C Bassani Headers, 2000-2002 LS1 F-body, Ceramic Coated (Y-Pipe sold separately)
$654.95

48-F57010-3 Bassani Stainless Steel Y-Pipe w/ Catalytic Converters (for Bassani Headers only)
$509.99

48-F57010-2 Bassani Stainless Steel Off-Road Y-Pipe (for Bassani Headers only)
$339.99

They are about....$200 more than a set of Jet Hot coated Macs and offroad y-pipes....could be worth it if the quality it really "that" much better. From what I have heard, the Macs just need their ports cleaned out to make them really nice.

Do what I did (if you want cats)

Get the ORY from Bassani & weld in some Random Techs or Carsounds cats. The CATCO cats (which come with the Bassani Y-Pipe) suck.

BTW- Bassani backs thier products.. took back the lousy Y-Pipe w/ cats and refunded the money, and I then got the ORY as mentioned above.
