Question about C5 intake...
My question is It's not a Z06 intake (Which I can't find to save the life of me) but would There be any gain by swapping to the C5 intake...I know it would look a little better, but other than that what are the benefits if any?
Thanks in Advance..
<strong>Well the C5 intake without the EGR setup is an LS6 intake. The intake is not specific to the Z06. All 01 Fbods recieved the LS6 intake, as did corvettes. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I think he's talking about an older 97-00 intake...
<strong>Well the C5 intake without the EGR setup is an LS6 intake. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Facts:
All C5 intakes did not come with EGR.
All LS6 intakes do not have EGR provisions.
All C5s do not have LS6 intakes.
The C5 intake is not necessarily an LS6 simply because it does not come with EGR. If the plenum is flat then you have an LS6, if it has some ridges in it and the plenum floor sits closer to the runner roofs then you have a LS1 intake.
To answer your question, the only advantage you would have by swapping to that intake is to get rid of your JB weld job if it worries you.

Yes I plan on H/C here soon, GTP Stage 2 LS6 heads, and either an MTI C2 (224/224 .581/.581 112LS) or TR (230/224) cam...I have headers, stall, and all the supporting hardware...
I appreciate the input guys!!
