Re: How much lighter is a 99+ plastic gas tank than a metal 98 tank? OK, you'll love this. I'm building a 94Z28. It has a 99 Camaro fuel system in it (tank to fuel rail quick disconnect tubing). The drivetrain is completely 98 Forumula, including all 3 major wiring harnesses and even the 98 (analog) guage cluster.
I started it this past weekend. I've got fuel pressure and the pump cycles just like you would expect. I suspect the fuel guage, but have not run the tank dry yet to see if the guage is accurate (as far as I can tell it is within 1/8 to 1/4 tank).
