Tehblur <3 Prybars.

I got a badass set for christmas a few years back. Jammed it under a conrete nail fastener thing that was sticking up in my driveway, yanked it few times, and that bitch went into orbit. About 15 seconds later I heard it touch down on top of my house.

BFH + 57" Prybar..

i see nothing to worry about. I think they realized they wasted their money on that large tool box as soon as they bought that prybar...

Thumbs up

Guys... just loosen the steering column from underneath the dash. There are 3 or 4 bolts that hold it to the firewall and there is no need to completely remove the bolts. Then have someone use a pry bar to push the steering shaft away from the header. While that person is holding the steering shaft away from the header, go back underneath the dash and re-tighten the steering column bolts. Takes less then 5 minutes. This way you are actually moving the steering shaft away from the header.

NoMoreLS1: Not that simple actually. The set we just had to modify was actually pushing the steering shaft about 1/2" over. there was no way to reposition the steering shaft. Why would someone sell a set of headers that would hinder steering is beyond me. We took the header out and had to massage the primary unfortunately. Also had to notch the passenger side. Poor customer had to dump more labor into it than needed.

If you haven't noticed, the quality control for the f-body isn't that great. That's why it mat hit the steering shaft from time to time. If you actually loosen the steering column like I mentioned, you'll have a lot of play. If that still doesn't give you enough of room, then I would suggest using a pry bar on the header itself. I am not a big fan of the many header systems out there, but you have to expect that some modifications may be necessary when it comes to AFTERMARKET parts. That's just the way it is (not trying to sound like Bruce Hornsby).
