Default Cutout vs. True Duals

Im undecided between these two setups...

What'd you guys think?

1) MAC mid-length headers
MAC Off-Road Y pipe
Single QTP Electric Cutout in the I pipe
Magnaflow Catback

Would this sound weird with only a single cutout?

2) True Dual Setup (Unknown brands)
Long Tube Headers
Off Road X Pipe
Magnaflow Catback

Can a true dual setup work with a single muffler as in my magnaflow catback?
______

Which setup would you guys recommend?

lsx24 has a system close to that, but not really. You'l have to ditch that muffler, or put a merge after the x-pipe, which would be pointless. Your current muffler is a 1-in 2-out setup.

LT headers, ORY, cutout, then your magnaflow catback would not be a bad idea, it's pretty popular too.

Here's Lsx24's setup......

DON'T get the Mac midlengths, you will just want longtubes. Trust me!

Go with the TSP true dual and longtubes and pick a couple of the mufflers that they offer. You won't be dissapointed.

I'm not in the most glorious financial situation right now. That's why I'm leaning towards the ORY and cutout setup. It would be much cheaper than true duals correct?

Should be cheaper because cutouts are cheap as hell. But, True Duals are cheaper than ORY with a catback.

I'm not sure I understand option 2; you state True Duals with X pipe and Magnaflow catback... which is it true duals or catback?

But, I think you should go with option 2 (without the magnaflow catback ), it will sound better than option 1 and make more power.

I already have the magnaflow installed. That is what is causing complications. Due to this I think it's best to go with the ORY and cutout setup.

If I were to setup true duals I would need to scrap the magnaflow correct?

Magnaflow is one of the most popular catbacks around here. You could easily sell it to a board member after you put duals on the car to offset the cost.

My old setup was very similar to yours, macs/ory/cutout/catback. IMO the only time it sounded good was at idle and WOT. Everything in between was raspy as hell and sounded like . If you're even considering true duals, do it. You'll never go back.
