Default MAAAAJOR Y-pipe clearing issues

OK well pretty much my qtp header and ORY is done except we lowered the car back down and.... I cant even fit a finger inbetween the ground and my y pipe. The ORY has dual QTECS. My car has been lowred a decent amount (1.7 inches front and back). Any advice on how i can get more clearance? We were just gonna jack it up and mess with it some more and if i cant get much clearance we were just gonna heat the pipe up, yank it up then cool it off. Think this will work?

damn that sucks. You are probley going to have to go back to stock with the springs, otherwise get a different y pipe. Dual cutouts are not the best idea on lowered cars either. Unless you can find a way to tuck them up and out of the way.

Adjust the y-pipe untill it's almost touching the bottom of the car, then set it down. If you're still having problems, you're screwed. Those QTEC flanges are what's probably kicking your ***.

I tryed the heating rout and my ory split at the y this was a hooker ory, Happen six months later no rubbing or slaming on bumps. But I have seen on a 2in drop z28 a ory that was flatten on the bottom and round on top sounded good, but any hp gains remains to be said

Being lowered almost 2" isn't helping the situation. You're either going to have to raise the car or go with a different exhaust. That QTP setup isn't an ideal fit for lowered cars.

ok thanks guys, we are gonna attempt to solve the situation today. I will post the results. I ahve the eibach sportline springs with stock struts. I plan on getting adjustable coil overs which will solve the problem i think. Ill just have to drive real careful for a while cause even if i can adjust the y, i will only have like 2 to 3 inches of clearance, maybe a little more if im lucky

my car is lowered and my qtp ory hangs pretty low so i can only imagine how low the cutout on the driver side hangs.
