I once read that after a lid install they noticed a slight whistle.. Does anybody have that whistle noise at travling speed. I just changes my serpentine belt yesterday and now have a slight whistle when I'm changing gears is the only time I can hear it. (maybe because of cutout) Could it be the water pump I don't think it is because it don't do it when I am under the hood and reving it up. Thanks.

 

I've got the factory SLP lid and yes, sometimes I can hear a slight whistle (like when I change gears, just like you said). I don't think it's anything to worry about.

 

I've got the SLP aftermarket lid on my 02 SS. If my lid does whistle I can't hear it over my exhaust. <img border="0" alt="[Camaro]" title="" src="graemlins/camaro.gif" />

 

I have an SLP lid and before I got my loudmouth exh. I could hear a whistle.

 

I have the SLP lid and SLP CAI and I have a whistle but I put both on at the same time so I'm not sure where the whistle comes from. However, can't hear mine anymore over my exhaust either. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

 

definetly the lid, i had factory single tip exhaust and when i put LID ON I COULD HEAR IT OVER THE EXHAUST

 

Thanks everybody I'm glad its normal. When I first put my lid on I didn't hear it. I guess when I took it off and put it back on it fit different so it whistles a little. Thanks again

 

Mine whistles so clearly it sounds like the car has a blower! (Could be my ported TB though... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> )
