SLP Y pipe or G2 Y pipe??

SLP Y pipe or G2 Y pipe?? whats a better y pipe? like for power? ground clearance?
i know i want one or the other, i want to keep my cats becuase i heard they flow kinda well and i have hooker shorties.
the slp pipe is 2.5" and the G2 is 2.75",,, my car has been lowered 1.25" i am just wondering about the pipe on the drivers side,,, is the .25" difference a big deal to flow more? any advice would be great, they are both close to the same price, so its cool

Re: SLP Y pipe or G2 Y pipe?? I had an SLP Y-pipe on my car before I put the headers on. It was a nice piece that fit well. My car is not lowered though, so I'm not sure how it would take to that. The drivers' side does hang kinda low. I've never seen the G2 piece.
If I were you, I'd ditch the hooker shorties and not worry about a Y-pipe for them. I'd get a nice set of mids or LTs and use an ORY instead <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> If you really insist on using cats, get random techs or carsound. I don't beleive in cats myself though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: SLP Y pipe or G2 Y pipe?? I have the Bilstein suspension option from SLP on my SS. It's about a 1-1/2" drop.
I have FLP's with a custom 3" y-pipe and have had no problems, yet (knocking on wood).
Just take it easy over bumps and hills, go at an angle up or down hills and you'll be fine. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: SLP Y pipe or G2 Y pipe?? I have the SLP Y pipe and my car is lowered with eibach pro kit and I am always banging the pipe I can just be driving down the road and get into ruts and the pipe starts dragging...It sucks but I had the pipe before I lowered it.

Both of them hit the ground over speed bumps or dips with my car lowered on eibach pro kit
