Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? After driving about 600 miles on my current setup, I like it!!! I don't mind how loud it is at all. Now will the true duals be quieter? I mean in car, I could care less out side. I think outside it will be about the same. How hard is it to make true duals out the back??? What size for my setup? I like it but don't want anymore cabin noise. The coolest part is my fiance loves how loud it is and the way it sounds, she is a true car girl!!!!

I am really not shure how loud your exhaust is but true duals are only as loud as you make them.I mean I have heard some that were to loud and some that were to quiet.It depends on what mufflers you go with.As for running it out the back yes you can do it.You can run either 2 1/2 or 3" on your setup.

Re: Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? Dg yes the bullets are loud but you should not get rid of your duals because of how loud it is.I think you should just get quieter mufflers you will be happy.

If your going out the back, you might have to loose the rod, and prob go 2 1/2 in. I dont think 3" will fit but i may be wrong. be careful if you do go 3", it doesnt work that great on a lowered car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> (anopther reason im stuck withthe letter YYYYYYYY)

Re: Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? what is I ran two real good mufflers to quiet it quite a bit??? And then I dumped before the axle??? Would it still be louder?? I can understand it is louder under the car due to the type or sounds reflection surface note. But if I get it quieter than just bullets would that work???

Re: Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? yea it will.There are alot of other good mufflers out there other than bullets and quieter also.they most of the time cost a little more but you get what you pay for.Remember to point your turndowns outward a little and that will help to.

I have an idea to build a wierd cut out allowing me to have it just like and open y-pipe sometimes and closed running through a factory others.

Re: Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? I don't have dyno #s because I am not a dyno queen.I always did my testing at the track and from going to a true dual with x from a ory with a cutout I picked up almost 2tenths at the track.

Cause from10.3-10.1 is a big difference while
17.2-16.8 is not a big difference in power even though it is a .4 gain. You know wind resistence gearing......etc.....

Re: Will Trading to True Duals be Quieter?? You can go 3" over the axle with the brace removed.I have had 2 3" 90's stuck over the axle that is all you can get in there though.It is tight but they will fit you just need to be sure they are right before you work the rest of the exhaust in.
