Quiet True Dual Idea!!!
OK, off the header through the Bullets, through the x like normal. Then Two HOOKER aerochamber mufflers. they should flow atleast 500+ cfm a piece 3" in/out center. Then Dump???? I want to dump them i hate my tailpipes and i think this will be quiet!!!!! Or quieter, my current setup is way to raspy but this should sound really clean. Does anyone think i will have a fitment problem?? this link might work
It is 14" long, is that to much past the X?? From what I have heard mine and a true dual is about the same external and this should reduce it even more, and the dumps will bring the cabin back up, hence maybe about the same. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Well, first off, that's still gonna be pretty loud. Granted, you have longtubes, ORY, and loudmouth, so you're used to it. It'll probably be a lil quieter outside the car but much, much louder inside the car. It definitely won't be 'quiet' by any means. Longtubes, 2 bullets, and 2 race mufflers, and dumps under the car. A deaf man could hear that coming <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Anyway, the problem with those mufflers is: where are you gonna fit those? The length isn't the problem, 14" is fine, but where are you gonna fit them horizontally and vertically? They are 5" high, whereas your normal bullet is 3.5" I believe. Even if you tuck them up you're still gonna lose close to 1" ground clearance (a lot). Then, where are you gonna fit all 10" of that width? There's no room under the car for that, so you'd have to have the mufflers right off of the floor pan, which means you'll be losing 5" of ground clearance (theoretically), I know the loudmouth doesn't tuck up fully).
If you ran the pipes out the back, and THEN the hookers, you'd be ok. If you put them before the axle though, good luck. Even on a stock height car, they'd probably be 2" off the ground at best. If it's a drag-only car, then you'd be ok, but if you like to drive it on the street, forget it!

OK so if I put them right before the axle and ran it back to the back????
what about this the two bullet x and then run it back to the back and before it exits go through two more bullet or the mufflers??? I really want turn downs!!!!!!!
What can i do to have about the same interior volume with turndowns??? It would be different if it was a T/A because thay have notches for the exhaust, so to me it looks right. While my ss looks like it should not have exhasut out the back.
So what is a solution for turndowns and being quiet??

Turndowns is the problem.
They will almost never be quiet, unless you add tons of muffling. Sound coming out of the turndowns reflects off the ground and back up towards the car. Think of yelling in an alley versus yelling on an open field. The sound refects under the car.
The biggest problem, though, is the noise level INSIDE the car with turndowns. The noise is extreme because of the sound relecting back at the under side of the car.
So, how much do you want turndows again?

ALOT!!!! Everytime I look at the car, i think wow that would look better a little lower and damn those exhaust tips!!!! I hate the way they look, anyone have anyother ideas??? What if I have it go straight back instead of turn downs??? But still cut it before the axles??? What about the 4 bullet idea at the same time???
One guy did a chambered muffler dual and said it was quiet. The only problem is how restrictive those mufflers are. Kinda defeats the reason for going dual.
Just thought if you wanted quiet that bad, you might be interested...

NOPE, thanks though, I would rather be ahead of the guy next to me, then be quieter. Plus when the fiance (soon to be wife) is bitching I can suggest we take my car and listen to it instead of her! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I like the way mine sound outside the car but inside it's loud. More mufflers would help but it's going to be loud inside the car regardless. Go over the axle if you wan't quiet or dynamatt the interior. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Not being a smart *** but have you gone and measured from the end of your long tubes to the axle? You say you want an X pipe as well - you just lost two feet - that leaves just about enough room for a bullet and short turn down. Don't get me wrong - I'm going to go that way on my 94 but to be realistic - there isn't enough room foward to back on your car for what you want. If you want to quiet it down a little inside the car - try turn out's. I'm thinking about angling mine around the center section of my rear end at about 45 degrees off axis and maybe 20-30 degrees down. Who knows maye I'll end up deaf as well as dumb.

J- I have one more idea instead of having turndowns, only point it slightly down, not enough to reflect under the car into the cabin. And also send it more out the side of the car than anything else??? This way it is going not very down, more out the side??? How does that sound?
Thats how I have my turn downs, pointed out towards the tires. It is still loud. Let me know what you try and if it works because I would like to quiet mine down also.
Angry, he is talking baout putting bullets off the headers before the X ( like mine ) and then 2 more mufflers after the X. There is enough room for that.
