Default air lid info

i just put in a air for my 98 z28 camaro, i added 3 washers to lift up the lid to get more air.... if i take off my MAF sensor screen will it make a difference, and will it be safe...

Do not jack with the MAF, some people see gains (which are VERY minimal), but lots of people have problems and wish they had not done it in the first place (bad idle, air/fuel mixture problems, etc.).

Check out the free ram air mod if you want some more air.

i removed it and it made a difference but will it hurt in the long run..

Thumbs down how much hp???

i just installed a clear air lid, took off my maf sensor screen, cut out some egr pipe thats right above the throttle body, and added 12 washers to lift up the lid to make more air push in and also did that custom ram air mod. how much hp am i lookin it, it runs way better top in and if u want pics let me know....

only the lid would make a noticeable difference.

lids work with everything else....when they have things surrounding them they will put out more...all the other stuff u did is honestly insignificant...all the stuff in my sig comes to around 320 give or take 5....so u got a long way there cat...its good u wanna try stuff though...just read on what parts to touch and ones not to...ie maf
