Default How bad is it to drive without a tune after EGR and AIR removal?

Need help!
Ok, I own 2000 SS and I got my LT's with egr provison, but I would like to get LS6 intake without EGR, and remove EGR and AIR on my car.
I think I'll need one egr plate and two air plates, right? like SJM 3 plate kit has, but what do I need to plug the wholes in my LT headers?
also I know doing so will throw codes and SES light will come on, but how bad is it , is it ok to drive without a tune for egr and air???
Thanks in advance ....

The plates will plug the holes in the headers. You will be perfectly fine driving the car with no tune after you delete the crap. The SES light will be staring you in the face, but no worries.

I would also have the Rear O2 codes deleted while you're at it. You can sell the O2 sims if you have them.

You can drive it no problem (other than the SES light) as for the block off plates, 2 for the AIR, and one for the EGR, and some gaskets (speed inc sells the plates if you don't want to make them yourself)

ok, just one more question: I need two plates for the AIR but do I still need that one plate for EGR if I get LS6 intake without egr from 01/02 cars ?

Its added wieght in the front. AIR is not needed.

Alls AIR does is pump fresh air into your exhaust and it makes and annoying whirrr.

I thought I had a vaccum leak after I got the car. POS AIR pump.

Also. I removed my EGR yesterday. Is there a performance increase at all from this? Like 1-2 hp? Cuz now there won't be any exhaust going into my intake.

If there is I probably won't notice because of the header install.
