Default LM Is it too loud??

Got my resonator in today and will be putting it on tomorrow. What should I expect as far as the interior noise and with stock manifolds and y?

I've driven in a car with stock manifolds/y and a LM once, interior noise isn't bad at all. You can hear it in the inside, but its not annoying. Especially since you have an M6, you can shift into 6th while crusing and it shouldn't too loud inside at all. But then again, my exhaust is so loud inside the car that the entire car feels like its going to fall apart and I like it that way . But, LM sounds really good, I'm sure your going to like it.

By "resonator", are you talking about your Loudmouth catback?

Do a search for Loudmouth and you'll find plenty of info on the sound characterstics of it.

But Hell, I'll throw a bit up here anyways:
Loudmouth is the loudest possible catback you can buy for the stock manifolds and Y. Some think it sounds okay, some think it sounds like crap. I personally think that it has no tone at all and is loud just for the sake of being noisy. But that's just my opinion. It drones quite a bit at certain RPMs and can resonate inside the car too. On the upside, it flows amazingly and sounds good at WOT.

Actually I just bought the resonator. It was all three inch piping so I am going to the exhaust shop and get the three inch piping done and put the resonator in the I pipe.

Ive got the m6 with stock manifold, ypipe, cats and l-mouth cat back Personally I dont think my car is loud enough. Interior noise is not that loud at all. ofcourse thats my opinion, my neighbors get pissed at me when i leave my car idling to warm it up, so to others I guess its loud.

Will it sound the same since I'm getting my own 3in pipe done. I found a shop that will do the work for $85. I will save more $ than buying the whole catback. Everything else besides tips was just pipe.

Possibly might be a little louder all around, by the way your rims kinda resemble cobra rims.

How long is a peice of string???

Yes IMO it is fairly audiable, more so outside than in. I though my TR7 was loud. which it iS But the LM is if anything even louder and seems no quiter even when the car is over 1/3 mile away.

It's quite loud around 2000rpm, some say it drones but I don't think it does it just seems to resonate in the cabin at that rpm. But it sounds very good and very much old school muscle car when it's going down the road.

Got the LM on. It sounds pretty good. I thought it would be way to loud. Will it get louder once I put more miles on it.

Put 15 highway miles a day on for 3-4 weeks and see how you feel. Most complaints about the LM are from the drone on the highway. In the city it sounds great but take a long trip with the LM and you might need a lot of Advil. I did and that was what kept me from buying one. Awesome sounding with the stock manifolds and cats in the city though.

I have the LM and stock headers/Y (for the moment) and I've driven it 30+ highway miles a day for months to and from school. I took it to Atlanta (about 3-4 hours highway driving) and back, don't even notice the sound. With the M6 in 6th its only between 1300 and 2000 RPM on the highway. Plus, the stereo works well enough to drown out any drone, but a highway drone is something you get with any car.

Personally, I love it. Sort of makes the car sound meaner than it is right now. I might change my mind once I get the headers and Y on (still waiting on them from QTP). But on stock, I don't think it can be beat for the price, power, and sound.
