I've seen a couple of those on ebay that say LS1/LS6 type intake manifold. If he did that you might be screwed. If it says LS6 specifically you have a good case with Paypal if he refuses to refund your money. As someone else said don't go off half cocked by saying something like "Hey *******, you screwed me..." Be nice and polite and if he's a straight up seller he should give you your money back. With luck he'll even refund you shipping if it was his mistake.

Oh, and not that you need to hear this now as I'm sure your upset but it is always best with Ebay to know exactly what you want. By that I mean you should have the exact part number for an LS6 and email the seller asking if there is any damage at all and what the part number is listed on the manifold. If they fail to answer or won't tell you anything exactly then move on. I've seen LSx manifolds sold with blown out backs from nitrous and someone patched them and the pictures are not real clear and without asking about any damage you might be buying someone elses junk. I also have a rule that I will not buy from any seller with less than a 99% feedback.
Hopefully the seller is a straight up guy and just made a mistake and you'll get your money back.

He's got pretty good feedback, like 97% or something like that. So hopefully he'll respond to my email and give me a refund. The ad clearly said "You are bidding on a corvette Z06 intake manifold for an ls1 engine," so maybe he just didn't know.
Thanks for the help guys,
Kevin

The guy finally emailed me back, and said "This is the copy of the zo6 intake that was used in the early year zo6 that chevy upgraded all the camaros with in 2000." Is that true? Is there a website or something I can search the part number? The number is 12556333.
Thanks for the help

Z06 never came with an LS1 manifold only the LS6 and they upgraded all LS1's in 01 to the "LS6" style intake. If it is not a flat bottom then you got hosed. "Copy" sounds like he is beating around the question. 00 Camaro's came with an EGR still with the LS1 intake.

Ebay strikes again, sorry about the dude scamming you. Depending on what you paid for it, you might be able to sell it here on Tech.

Holy Crap!! I was looking at Ebay the other day and I think I saw the ad you were talking about. If it's the one I am thinking about, it clearly said LS6 intake off a Z06, but I looked at the pictures and one of them showed the bottom of the intake. I thought to myself, what an *******, it clearly is not an LS6 intake, whoever bought that is going to be pissed! I personally hope the guy rots in hell for trying to intentionally screw someone over, that's such BS! Hopefully he is a respectable guy and will come to an agreement with you, but it doesn't sound like it. I know the feeling of being excited, expecting to receive an LS6 intake and instead having the sinking feeling of thinking you got scammed. Luckily in my case, the seller was a good guy and we were able to come to a mutual agreement. Good luck getting your money back.
