True Duals w/ Flowmaster?

True Duals w/ Flowmaster? Has anyone done this, or are Flows too big to fit under my car w/o clearance problems? <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Re: True Duals w/ Flowmaster? I am planning on running Hooker Long Tubes w/o cats and 2 chamber Flow's. I really want to dump the exhaust infront of the rearend so as to keep the rear phb. A muffler shop told me in '98 that there wasn't enough room under my T/A for Flow's. Now that everyone is doing true duals, will they fit without clearance problems? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I had the SLP longtubes (sold) with the Dr. Gas X-pipe and 2 1 chanber delta FORCE Flows (3"x7.5"). Sound it BADASS!!! Unmatchable! Just dont lower your car!

I have a couple videos of it I can email, nothing big or special, but you can get the point. It sounds better than ANY exhaust Ive ever heard on a LS1!!

Re: True Duals w/ Flowmaster? im getting hooker lt's and i've been wondering if i could get and x-pipe and make the exhuast come out right in front of my back tire but not pointing at the rear tires? does anyone else have this setup or is ground clearance an issue? thanks!!

Its the lower control arms. They move up and down so you cant have anything near the back tire.

Re: True Duals w/ Flowmaster? What about putting the 6.25" mufflers up tight to the floor pan where the cats used to be? Then an X-pipe. After the X, you could run tube to the back, or out the sides in front of the rear tires. Maybe use oval tube after the X and out the side in front of the rear tires. That way you could have much better ground clearance. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

Re: True Duals w/ Flowmaster? Is there any way to run 2 full size Flowmaster mufflers and dump the pipes infront of the axle? I think the one chamber race mufflers might be too loud for the local cops with headers and no cat's..I know it can be done by going over the axle, but trying to save a few $$$...

If you want to use the X-pipe, it NEEDS to be as close to the headers as possible and BEFORE any type of muffler or its pointless to use it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> I tried to fit the muffs right off the headers... VERY close, but one side doesnt fit and one does.

Its about as loud as a Mustang with a GOOD exhaust system. Ya know, the type you can feel. Re: True Duals w/ Flowmaster? You Guys heard of Spintech Mufflers? They make a muffler that's only 2 1/4" thick plus they have oval pipe for more ground clearance. Check out their site Spintechmufflers.com. I'm planning on using them. Good luck!
