ok.. got an update
i went and got a piece of insulation board form lowes it was r4 insulation and was 3\4' also it was the blue stuff not the shitty white stuff
then i made a template of my opening on the hood and cut out a rectangular gasket .. finally i used some thin bolts and large washers to attach it to the inside of the hood....
it looks really good is easy as hell to make and is cheep ..... finally it actually does the job because the insulation conforms to the airbox opening and provides an airtight seal ...to me this is the way to go
