slp vs. k & n

slp has a cold air intake + lid for around $230. Site says up to 10 hp gains, no dyno results provided. K & N has a fuel injection performance kit for $320. Dyno results show over 14hp gain at 5300. Average 8-10 hp gains 3500-6000. This done on a 98 z28 5.7l. I have an 02. I already have a K & N air filter. Worth the extra dough? I'm going with pacesetter headers over hooker to save dough, for example. I don't want to sacrifice too much overall in hp to $.

this is the wrong forum, try external engine. they will probably tell you to just get a lid...about 100$

eh get a lid... those gains are almost never completely accurate! I once saw a MAF that gained 13 hp on a stock motor. I DONT believe that.

yeah, just go with the lid and maybe the free ram air mod, and u will be just as well off and save a lot of money!!!
