Question Those with Flowmaster 1-chamber true dual set-ups, have questions about fitment...

For those of you who have this 3" X-pipe true dual set-up running the Flowmaster 1-chambers dumped at the axle, did you have to pound in the floor board to get them to fit any? And what, if any other modifications need to be done to get them to fit? Also, I had been planning to drop my car with the Eibach Pro-Kit, but will scrap that idea now since the ground clearance will probably suck...

I've heard about the fitment issues before on here and even remembered reading that some had to beat in the floor board to get them to fit...But just looking for some clarification on this...

Thanks,

Mike

PS. I did a search, but didn't find what I was looking for (nor have the time since I'm looking to do this soon).

I got mine to tuck up pretty good so I didnt have to beat in my floorboards. If I did beat them in and tucked the mufflers more, my x-pipe would contact the torquearm. My ground clearance is 4" all around except at the muffler, where its just a tad under 4". Personally, I didnt wanna beat up my floorboard to gain maybe a 1/4", especially since I dont have any problems w/ scraping or speedbumps. I have pics on my home computer, so when I get there I will post em up for you, if I forget, dont hesitate to PM me.

Sweet man, I would really appreciate those pics...They'd definitely come in handy for the shop that will build my custom true dual set-up.

Look forward to seeing them as soon as you get the chance...

Thanks,

Mike

A little late, but as promised, here ya go.
The last pic is the only modification made. Its just a 3" piece of crush bent exhaust tubing that the exhaust shop keeps in stock, and its about 9" long. I'll eventually get around to getting a piece of mandrel bent pipe to replace it.
hope this helps!

JBIRD02: You're stock ride height aren't you?

2000LS1Z28: I've got the exact setup JBIRD does, but mine's 2.5" instead of 3". I went with 2.5" because I'm lowered with the pro-kit. I've got ~3 inches of clearance under the mufflers.....if you're wanting to lower your car you won't be able to fit 3" very easily, I know I wouldn't be able to swing it for sure.

JBIRD02...Thanks for those pics...At least I know it can be done now...

jmm98LS1...Well, I do have an Eibach pro-kit sitting in my garage, but I won't drop the car now if I have Speed Inc put together this custom set-up with the Flowmaster 1-chambers. Also, were you able to get the 1-chambers to fit without pounding in any of the floorboard?
