Meziere Water Pump For LS1
Meziere water pump WP-119 is supposed to be designed to bolt on to the LS1. Has anyone purchased/installed this pump? Curious as to whether it really does bolt on without some type of adaptor.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Meziere Water Pump For LS1
The pump does indeed bolt right on to the block with nothing else needed. The belt routing and inlet hose takes some creativity to get working properly, though...
Meziere is releasing a more direct "bolt-on" electric pump shortly that is supposed to pretty much be a "plug and play" type of deal.

Thanks George...just the info I wanted to hear.
Racenet Performance Parts lists the pump for $364.95 plus $14.50 for the inlet. Anyone else carry this pump, for (hopefully a better price) that you know of?

I think they are rated at 2500 hours......
If that is true, then if you ran the engine 4 hours a day (non stop), 7 days a week, you would get just about 1.7 years of driving before it went out.
I have heard of people having electric water pumps for years and I have heard of other people with mechanical water pumps dying after a couple of months.

I got mine from Thunder Racing... I'm not sure what other sponsors carry the Meziere, but Thunder was able to hook me up with everything I needed.

What about the tensioner that is on the stock pump? With the Meziere, that would be part of the belt routing fun? I don't suppose there is any provision for the tensioner with the Meziere?

Re: Meziere Water Pump For LS1
I spoke with a salesman at meziere yesterday and he said they had the LS1 pump with heater hose ports, thermostat and idler pully all ready to go. They tested it on a 427 and it wasn't enough to cool it. He told me this new pump will be able to produce 55 gpm at about 30 psi. I was going to order the current 119 pump yesterday, but he thinks the new 319 pump will be ready this month. So I am going to wait.
