Just another vote for Loudmouth II. I love mine. Very easy install and AWESOME sound.

Also look into the Bassani True dual system. It's rather expensive, but I've seen a dyno graph somewhere on this forum of it producing significantly higher numbers over even a Borla catback. Just my $.02

I actually had the resonator chopped out and a bullet muffler installed. It is still way to loud. I also have the cats removed. I ended up getting gas deposits on the back bumper.. once I got the muffler installed it started to clear up... but it still makes it a pain. I can completely was the car... then idling for 2 minutes will cause deposit on the back bumper.

I will most likely end up with a different cat-back and doing dumps or cutouts.

If you have $700 to spend go with GMMG. I love mine to death, and I have never heard a catback with stock manifolds and cats that came even close to the quality of sound GMMG provides. If you have the money, it is worth every penny.

May want to think about a 3-1/2" exhaust catback. Great sound to it. I've got the Stainless Works one. We did end up putting bullets where the cats go. If you're interested, I have a 3.5" muffler ( no i-pipe or tips ) for sale from Stainless Works, it's straight through. PM me if interested, it's obviously stainless and you'd have to provide the i-pipe and pipes off the muffler out the back.

GMMG is the name of the company. They made custom F-bodies for several dealerships throughout the country. Yeah everyone says it is loud, but I always thought it was quiet (it appeared quieter at idle than the stocker did). Then again, I don't consider something loud unless it hurts my ears.

Thanks again i will look at it. I don't really want quiet. Like i said i race it on Friday nights. I'm in the IHRA heavy class now and sometimes i can't here my own car because i am running against full blown race only cars with open headers. It make it tough when doing my burnout.

I don't listen to Mustangs anymore, They listen to me pulling away. This is why i bought this car much faster even stock than most Mustangs.

Compared to most other catbacks (save for LM) GMMG is louder, but it just seems quiet to me.

I would never say my GMMG is quiet - except at steady cruise. But it's not obnoxiously loud in the cabin in most situations. Get somebody to drive your car by at normal speeds while you stand on the sidewalk, though. You'll be surprised at how loud it is on the street.

i heard gmmg on a firehawk on base. yeah it was all stock down to the cats. but it was quiet as hell. i thought it was stock. the loudmouth blows it away as far as loud!! loudmouth is too loud thats why everybody gets rid of it. it may not be the cleanest sounding, but it flows really well and is loud..

i dont see why LM is louder than GMMG.. both are basically piping with resinators in them.. but for some reason LM is way louder than GMMG on staock manifold and stock y pipe

Because it's all about the design and noise cancellation techniques. Muffler 'sound' is a science not just piping thrown together.

The LMII is supposed to be a little better sounding not as loud with the good flow correct?
