It is the inside that matters. Look at the inside of a GMMG chamber and the inside of a LM resonator, and you'll see why they sound different.

You are mistaken. The Loudmouth has a resonator in the I pipe before the rear end, then it goes over the axle, splits into 2, then has tips. The GMMG goes over the axle, splits to two, then has 2 long *** resonators and a pipe going out each side to the tips.

all catbacks are going to increase about the same... except flowmaster. my riend ran 10.9 through a hooker catback with his 408 and I have ran 11.7 through my old loudmouth, i now have a hooker for the simple fact to quiet it down a little bit since i drive it everyday, and if i want to be loud all I have to do is take the muffler off, thats the cool thing about the hooker.

I don't have data to back it up, but wouldn't Corsa be one of the best flowing exhaust systems thus being the best HP producer? It does not have anything in the way of the flow?

If you have stock manifolds/cats then LM is the way to go. It sounds badass and provides the most gains due to it's straight through design. If you have shorty headers it still sounds good but is pretty loud compared to other catbacks. Once you start doing LT's, ORY, or a combo of the two it sounds like ***, especially when that setup is hooked up to a bigger cubed motor. I've been there, done that with all that I have explained. Right now I have the 408/LT/ORY/LM setup and it sounds horrendously loud. I certainly love loud as I'm a huge fan of the LM with anything less than LT/ORY, but once you do those it's game over. My car has been forced into a granny-shifting mobile to avoid the rasp at all costs until I get some magnaflow high-flow cats welded in.

This is a great discussion with a lot of data i can use in my decision making process. I do have stock manifolds and cats for this year. How much is the GMMA compared to the LMII? I know the LMII is around $420. minus 10% from SLP this month.

GMMA does not exist. However, the GMMG is $6-700.

I looked at their GMMG site thanks for the correction. I don't know if i like they way they look and if they are worth that much more than the LMII system.

People get the GMMG because they care about two things: sound refinement, and quality of construction (inside and out). GMMG embodies both. The LM is for people who care about two things: flow, and loudness. I used to love the loudness until this thing called rasp came into effect with more exhaust mods, at which point flow became a lesser quality than sound refinement.

Since nobody noticed. Corsa. High quality and no restrictions in the muffler and the pipes.

that doesn't make sense, how would you get more power by having a muffler(back pressure) over having straight pipes out?
