Is your floor mat under the pedal? Sounds simple, but you'd be suprised.

Did you use your stock cable cam and shaft assembly? The 98-99's have a different cam than the 00-02's.

Yes they are. You have to unscrew the blade screws, take off the TPS sensor, then tap the shaft out. Note that a small washer looking piece will come out with the sensor, just remember how it goes back in. You should also check out how the return spring winds up to make it easier on the re-assembly.

The shaft/cam slides out and you slide the new one in and re-assemble. Use some blue loctite on the blade screws when you put it back together. You'll need some Torx head stuff to take it apart too. I got a little blue case from Advance Auto that was about $5 which has every freaking torx/allen/screw (philips/flat)/adapter you can want. I get a TREMENDOUS amount of use out of it.

Excellent detailed advice here ^^^^^. I had that small washer fall out when i took the tps off and did not see how it went on. The only place it will fit though is on the shaft just barely past the flat portion that goes into the TPS. Unfortunately I didn't know which side went in first. One side is rounded if my memory is correct. The Other TB I had did not even have that washer. Hmmmm........... I at least counted the spring coils, 18 on the 2001 TB in my case. Anyway, I'm letting the loctite cure overnight and then off we go counting on a much improved dyno now that the throttle opens more that 70%.
