rksport lid
rksport lid I know that a lid is a lid is a lid, but I have never heard anything about the rksport lids. My clear MTI just cracked and is duct taped for the time being but I need a new one. I want to go SLP but I have heard of problems with it rubbing on the hood. My question is whether or not the rksport lid will rub.

What in the hell? They told me it had like a 1-year warranty IIRC? Maby they had a few too many of them crack?
I just swapped from a Suncoast ram air set up to an RK Sport lid (it was the cheapest I could find and I sold my SLP long ago). I don't remember the SLP rubbing at all with the stock hood (Z-28 not SS) and the RK Sport is close (it has compressed the foam seal on the Suncoast hood) but doesnt seem to rub or the foam would be shredded. Of course as you've already figured out this is a Suncoast hood (SS style). IMHO the RK sport is the best deal going. It fits pretty good, it's about $15-$20 less than the nearest competition and it comes with the K+N breather required for the 01-02 cars.
