Default Too Loud for IL cops??

just yesterday put on pacesetter headers, modded ory slp y, and loudmouth and i was driven home, average acceleration and a damn cop comes flying around a turn and pulls me over. Gives me a compliance violation cause my record was "clean". Anyone else run a similar setup and get pulled over? Just wondering if i should invest in quieting down the exhuast or this cop was just really a jerk. (By the way the exhaust sounds superb, it's less annoying than the loudmouth and y cause its deeper)

You have to be a little careful. I drive around somewhat regularly with my cutout open in town. Just passing by cops don't bother me, but if I pull up next to one at a light or hammer it, they will pull me over. Can't say I blame them, my car is loud as hell with it open.

Same thing happened to me a week ago now I have a Borla so well see if its anywhere near the same open plate as I have closed to please the po po for now. The LM with headers and ORY was the best thing I've ever heard though loved it and I'll miss it for sure.

Well, anytime you pull you over for noise, ask them if they are pulling over every motorcycle they see too.

I have lt's and gmmg and it isn't that quiet either, but i haven't been hassled yet. I have gotten cops attention driving past them but so far so good. he probably saw a young guy in a fast car and decided to check you out.

He must either know someone who is willing to stick his neck out for him or he has not yet gone for inspection/emmision test since he put on the LT's would be my best guess.

In Cali they don't play around. They'll impound your damn car if you get pulled over with LT's then go after the shop that issued the inspection. I know my brother in law had it happen to him.

I find that if I just don't get on my GMMG it stays fairly quiet but I don't have LT's yet either. If I'm on it and over 3k it screams but I'll fight any noise ticket as in my area the cop would need to have a db meter to get a ticket to stick.

Yeah well I DD mine and was heading into work at 6:45am and he was following me. Told me it would **** him off if I drove by his house in the morning and woke his kids up with it or something similar, I just took it as he was a ******** and let it go.

It still is LOUAD and it is Still annoying.. With your current setup.. Have you ever let someone else Drive you Car and you watch it from another Persones Point of View??? Your will see that it sounds LIke CRAP.. And will Make you then Understand as to why He Pulled you over.. Just my 2 cents..

Also If your Car IS dirty.. that dose not Help.. Dirty F-bodies.. Allways seem to attract Them. Just my 2cents

No problems here, and Detroit Muscle can tell everyone how loud my car is. I was doing some checking, and all of us running exhausts without cats or mufflers are violating some BS Emissions code from the 70's When that oil embargo hit the car makers starting slapping on all the emissions crap to get better gas mileage, and we all know it didn't help. The emissions equipment actually robbed power and fuel economy. Anyways had to rant a little bit. "**** em if they can't take a joke!" anonymous quote...lol.

His kids need to be up and ready for school anyways. You just saved him money by not having to invest in an alarm clock. lol

Pretty much the same setup, got stopped by a state trooper and he told me to turn my car off, but didn't say anything after that. Although I don't recommend driving around in a parking garage, it tends to upset police.
