what should i be running
I think your being a little unrealistic
Basicly, his A4 car has a set of LTs and a lid. With good traction, I say 12.85

i dont think he has to worry about "good traction"

12.85...Im pretty sure there are guys hitting that with just et streets with no mods. I say hes good for a mid 12.

Come now... a stock 98 A4 with slicks running 12.85! Sorry, but NO way
I could be wrong..but I know there are 6 speed cars that have run high 12s with just exhaust, but those are 6 speed cars with good drivers.

Listen, a [bone stock] 98 A4 car will make about 285 rwhp. I bought one new in 97. With an aftermarket cat-back, the car will make about 295 rwhp. Believe me, with no wheelspin, that will get you a mid 13 second ET on a 3,650 lb race weight car.
Now, the newer LS1s have better exhaust manifolds, an LS6 intake manifold (on the 2001-2002), and better factory PCM tuning than the 98s. That combined with an M6 may get you a [very] high 12 second with a good driver.
Bottom line, a stock 98 A4 is a mid 13 second car. I don't care if John Force or Jesus Christ is driving it.
Like I said before, a 98 A4/3.23 geared car with a set of LTs, a lid, and a gutted MAF may get you down the 1/4 in 12.85 (on a good air day). I think thats being realistic....

Lid, Muffler, 160dg thermo and
245/50 R16s would run consistant
13.4-13.5 ets.
Although I havent gone to the track
since the addition of Longtubes, EGR MOD
and ORYpipe, I did beat a TA from a stop
and a 55mile roll that has ran a 12.9.
I agree a 12.85 give or take a bit.
Climate will be the factor, maybe.
This is just an guess/opinion.
Fat Z28, I have similar experiences. With a good set of slicks with a good launch, I have seen stock LS1 cars of various years hit the twelve second mark.
Jacksonsz1998, I think that mid-12's are a solid probability.
is this still on the stock converter? if so 12.80's is about all id expect out of the car too. stock converter kills the car all the way down the track. e.t streets might be a bit too much tire for the car also.
