Default anyone with true duals please help

when you run an x pipe and true duals without a cat where does the o2 sensor that is usually before the cat go if there isnt a cat? does it go in the end of the x pipe? i will be using an o2 simm for the sensor after the cat but where do i put the sensor before the cat with true duals on my v6 and are dynomax bullets any good? borla bullets are expensive. lane at lanes wheels suggested i run 2.5" on each side is that what you guys recommend? its a 96 3.8 v6 with alot of mods heads/cam etc. if i bought the kit justin sutton has are you sure everything will fit on my car since my headers are custom made for my 96 3.8 v6? the drivers longtube comes down and bends over toward the passenger one kinda like a y pipe on shorties,

Lane did my true duals. Mine is a V-8. I have an extreme confidence in Lane's work and he is very concerned about your satisfaction. He seems to be very knowledgable on this stuff. I would listen to what lane has to say. Also, you might want to ask Justin Sutton your question. He could probably tell you just as well as anybody else if it would work or not.

The pre-cat O2s are for the engine. They go in the headers (or in the facotry manifolds). Don't mess with their placement. Just install where they are "designed" to go.

sorry if i wasnt clear on this, i have one o2 in each end of my longtubes, and i will use a simm for the one after the cat area. i dont know where to put the one that goes before the cat that is usually in the end of the y pipe right before the cat, i wont be usuing a cat or y pipe so i dont know where to put the pre cat o2, there are already holes in my longtubes at the end by the collectors for those o2 sensors, just dont know where to put the 3rd o2 i have 4 altogether but will be using a simm after the cat area one.

just put one O2 in each header.......then use O2Simms for the other two. Or just unplug the other 2 and forget about it, a code will pop up but it dont really matter

your V6 has dual cats, right? one on each side of the Ypipe?

ok, the car originally had 2, 1 before, and 1 after... now u have 2, 1 on each header... just use those 2, but i guess only 1 will be connected to anything, since u only had 1 before the cat originally... u could either wire them together, or have 1 not connected... use a sim for the rear, 'after cat' one...

wow someday, you misunderstood me majorly.
i have 1 o2 sensor on my drivers longtube 1 o2 sensor on my passenger longtube, then i will use an o2 simm for the after cat area one, i wasnt sure where to put the pre cat one. i wont be running any cats. and on the stock car the pre cat o2 sensor was at the end of the y pipe right before the cat, i wont have a y pipe with true duals. stock the car had 1 cat again i wont use any cats. now i am having my pcm programmed should i see if the guy can delete the two sensors that are after the headers like some ls1 guys do? and if i get them two deleted will it mess anything up or wont i be able to tell if im running rich or loean without those two?

what? i'm the ONLY one in this thread who understood what u were saying... stock. ur car had ONE o2 BEFORE the cat, and ONE AFTER... now u have headers and duals... ur headers have spots for o2's on each one... those r the BEFORE ones... since ur car only had 1 BEFORE the cat stock, u really only need ONE now, plug the hole in the left header, and just use the right side header o2, and u can program out the after cat sensor which doesn't exist...

Ok completely stock my car had one o2 sensor in the drivers exhaust manifold one o2 in the passenger exhaust manifold one o2 sensor at the end of the y pipe before the cat and one after the cat. Its a v6 it only had one cat. now i have headers there is one o2 hole in the drivers header just like the stock exhaust manifold and one in the passenger header just like the other stock exhaust manifold, now i am not using any cat and i dont know where to have the o2 bung hole for the "before cat" o2 sensor since i dont have a y pipe or cat. i will just use a o2 simm for the o2 sensor that was after the cat, i now dont have a y pipe or cat so i dont know where to put the o2 bung or o2 sensor that was originally in the end of the stock y pipe.

ohhhh kaaayyyy... i never heard of a car having THREE o2's before ONE cat... see if u can wire it up to 1 of the front ones maybe... a sim will only work on an 'after cat' o2...
