Default Sound level with cats? Bullet muffler?

I have Pacesetter LT's, a TSP ORY and a hooker catback on right now, all of which were put on in about the last month. The sound level is very good, and I like how it sounds a lot up until about 2200rpms where the rasp starts. My question is, would it get any quieter if I put cats in, or just take away the rasp? And how about a bullet muffler in the I-pipe, how would that sound in comparison? I would like the sound level to stay as close to where it is now if possible, just take away the rasp. And if you suggest cats, do you suggest any specific ones? I would like to get some very good high-flow ones so that I can lose as little power as possible. Thanks

Yes, cats will make or break a good setup. And when I say "make" I mean cats sound better and help eliminate rasp.

Will the sound level drop at all from them though? And does anybody have a suggestion on a high flow cat that wouldn't take away much power? Thanks.

Agreed!

I have Mac headers and Magnaflow exhaust and when I removed my cats I got rasp and the drone is much louder over 3,000 rpms. If I granny the pedal it is quiet enough though.

I am checking with one of my shops this week about reinstalling cats (thunderbolts) and C5 O2 sensors. Of course i will need another tune since the O2s are delted. OR maybe just install the cats and no tune and no O2 sensors... I don't know.

I was wondering about how much quiter it would be if I put the cats on. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

It will tame it down a considerable amount.
