Same one, working awesome, after a 100 miles or so i get alittle bit in the bottom, i would take out that filter inside, one less thing to worry about.

Default mine

You guys convinced me to check into the oil in the PCV system. I pulled the short rubber fitting from the valve to the intake and found it full of oil . Well I went to Lowes and found they offer the Cobalt separator. Same set up, Porous stone filter. Mine looks to be just a little bigger than the one's pictured on here. But it had 4-taped hole's in the top of its frame that allowed me to make a simple bracket and mount it directly behind the battery well away from heat. There was already a tapped hole on the inner fender from the factory in this location. Not sure what went there? My 93 has the power steering pump mounted in this location, and the car has cruse control. Once I get the bracket painted I will post some pics. Good cheap mod.

Assuming you mean where the hose is attached. It is attached by a little mount that bolts on to the coolant line bolt that goes into the ps head.

I just finished mine up tonight. I have it set with the two filters and then another inline fuel filter as well. I have it mounted down near the battery facing out on the A/C. If I could figure out how to take pics that actually fit I would post some pics of my filthy engine bay with the new setup. Thanks Miami for the inspiration, yours looks great. I did TRY to do the right thing at least and changed out the PCV while I was in there...

I went ahead and made one of these catch cans last night also. I used the list in the first post, but left out the 90* bend and clamps. The hose went on pretty tight and nothing moves so I think it should be fine. I got 2' of fuel line hose at Advance for like $2. After maybe 60 miles w/ several WOT runs last night it already caught some oil and I dont have much, if any, smoke! No pics cuz its pretty much like everyone else's.

I might tweak it a little and move it farther away from the block since the warning on the filter said not to go over 125*. I haven't heard of anyone having problems w/ that though, but I dont wanna hear my dad say "they put that warning on there for a reason"!

For those who inquired about the "grounded" pcv. It's not a ground, but GM's version of a heat sink. Not smart enough to tell you "why" they did it, only that that's what it is.

May have something to do w/the heat coming(or going)to/from the coolant pipes as that's where the connection is made-

Dbl G-

I like it. Same filter setup as the separator style?
PM me a price and mailing address-

I went last night, $20 for the small one (1/4) inlet and outlet, $24 for the big one 3/8 inlet/outlet....But i may go look at home depot just cause the Kobalt one is a little to big for my liking and its this gay blue color and i would have to paint over that and thats just one more thing to do. In fact, im definately returning the one from lowes and going to home depot and picking up the 1/4" version, id get 2 but i dont want to clutter up the engine bay anymore than it already is.

i noticed most of u guys had pcv between valve cover and "catch can". after all pcv is a one way valve. Right? why not between "catch can" and TB? incase of backfire!

Because you want the pcv valve to do its job, then catch whatever oil gets by, not the other way around

...i think
