Question how to create your own smooth bellow?

yes i searched, and every time i tried it would time out on me, even narrowed my search to specific areas with the same result.

anyway i'm picking up an SLP lid and was wondering if the smooth bellows is worth the $50. Or how do you create your own ? any specific type of rubber hose or piping you guys have used?

**** no it aint worth 50 bucks! go to home depot, find sme "fernco" tubing, tis in the plumbing section. use a hair dryer to heat it up so its flexible and tada. 5$ smooth bellows. however some people have reported cracking their lids because the fernco doesnt flex enough

This mod provides no measureable performance gains, will give you only a slight improvement in appearance, and will most likely cause you to have fitup problems with your lid. Stick with the stock piece and save yourself the time and hassle.

with it being ribbed one would think that it would slow the air velocity down. so going with a smooth surface you would increase effiency and possibly create more hp.
my 2 cents anyway.

Hey send $50 this way ill send you a better thank you card..

Then ill go

**** now that I think about it you could prob go to an online store and order a 3" peice of fernco online and get it shipeed to you for cheaper than it would cost to drive the hour to and the hour back from your nearest hardware store plus buying the $3 peice of fernco.

The Fernco mod seems to be decent. I suggest putting it in some boling water for about 15 minutes to loosen it up.
